Week at Key - March 7 - March 14

Breaking news -- Raffle tickets will be available at the Science Fair, on Friday, March 5 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the Key School gym. Raffle Tickets will be available for $50 each for a 1 in 300 chance at winning $5,000. Payment may be made in cash or check payable to Key School PTA.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • AUCTION: Thank you for your donations! We have a great auction in store. Now we need you to donate your favorite bottle of wine valued at $25 or more for the Wine Pull game. During the auction, we will be selling corks that guarantee all buyers a special bottle of wine valued at $25 or more. Contact Kim Christo at kim.christo@ gmail.com to arrange drop-off or pick-up.
  • And please, don't forget to buy a raffle ticket. $50 buys you a chance to win $5000. Each classroom has a parent selling tickets or look for an opportunity to buy them on the blacktop!
  • SCHOOL NOW IN SESSION ON FRIDAY MARCH 19 - Per the recent DCPS decision, there WILL be school on Friday, March 19.
  • COMMUNITY SERVICE BACKPACK DRIVE FOR HAITI -- (Monday March 1 - Friday March 12): New and gently used school backpacks, along with pencils, erasers and pencil cases, are being collected in the front lobby of Key. Thank you.
  • CALLING ALL THURSDAY NIGHT CHEFS! Please retrieve your clean serving pieces from the front office. Thanks so much!

  • Help Ms. Wanielista win the Ultimate Wedding Contest! Ms. Wanielista and her fiance are in the Crate and Barrel Ultimate Wedding Contest.   • Palisades-Tenley Boys and Girls Lacrosse Clinic starts April 10-11. Tired of driving to "upper" Bethesda (i.e., Rockville) or Alexandria or Great Falls for lacrosse? Want to a skills-based, team-oriented, creative but disciplined approach to a sport for your child? Come learn lacrosse with a growing number Palisades-Tenley group of kids from local public and private schools. Taught by a former New England champion who specializes in TEACHING, Palisades-Tenley lacrosse aims to teach sportmanship, skills, and strategy. This has grown in popularity so much that we will likely be able to support 2 teams, beginners and intermediates, for boys and girls (separate teams), this spring. $175 for 10 weekends starting April 10 or 11.
