Events at Key

As you know, all the great events, programs and activities we have at Key are not possible without volunteers. If you have been thinking of volunteering or need more information about one of our events and/or programs, please contact the chair in charge of each event.



Ongoing Events/Programs

  • Key Goes Green - Key has an on-going effort to create, sustain and encourage "green" habits, for both the kids and parents. Click here for more information.
  • World Family Program - For International Parents: You are invited to be part of Key School's World Family Committee and share your country and its culture with the students of Key Elementary School. Click here for more information
  • Trash Free Wednesdays - Ongoing throughout the year, another one of Key's effort to reduce waste and teach sustainability to the next generation.

Date Specific Events/Programs

  • Harvest Festival - October 23, 2011, 12-4pm.

    Key Elementary School will host its annual Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 23rd. There will be great games, lots of prizes, and a pumpkin decorating contest. Come jump on the moonbounce and visit our haunted house, food concession stand and bake sale. Other fun attractions include a DJ, used book/CD/DVD sale, and much more! This neighborhood event is lots of fun for kids and families and will be held hail, rain or shine! Noon to 4PM at Key Elementary School, 5001 Dana Place.     Set-up: Come early to help set up for the event. Coffee and donuts will be provided. Bring the kids and they can preview all of the events before the crowds come!

    Clean-up: It is what it is! Help us break down the event.

    Grillers: We need volunteers who can take the heat behind the grill during the event.

    Handyman/Carpenter Haunted House Builder – The Harvest Festival committee is looking for a Key School parent volunteer with an interest or experience in construction to head up the Haunted House. Good news for all you handy, creative parents out there! HUGE thanks to parent extraordinaire Nick Keenan for being the mastermind behind this popular booth for many, many years.
