Foreign Language in Elementary Schools (FLES)

Dear Key School Parents,
As co-chairs of the Key Foreign Language Committee, we are delighted to announce that we are expanding the program this year to offer 2 new languages and more classes than ever before. In conjunction with the Montgomery County Schools FLES program, we have designed the following schedule in response to the priorities and interests you expressed via our recent survey.

Please note that classes cannot be confirmed until we reach a minimum registration level of 10 students for the intro level classes and 12 students for Levels 1-2. Confirmation notices with class start dates will be sent in mid-September and classes will commence in late September/early October. Please take a minute to review the Program Overview if you have any questions regarding each class. Registration is on a first-come first-serve basis and requires the following 2 steps:

1. Go online to the FLES website at http://www.fles.org/index.html and click on the online registration link - then select Key School from the drop down menu. The Key link should be posted this evening (Sept 2nd) and will be available through Saturday, September 12th.
2. Submit payment by check of $440 -- made out to Key School PTA with FLES and your child's name written in the "memo" space -- in the FLES drawer in the Key school office. Payments must by received by Sept 14th or your child's spot will not be held in the class. There are no refunds unless we do not reach the minimum class number required.
